The University of Massachusetts Faculty
The faculty is the sine qua non of a university. The scholarship, commitment to excellence and resourcefulness of the faculty are among the distinguishing characteristics of a great university.
At the University of Massachusetts, we are proud to count Nobel Laureates, Pulitzer Prize winners, members of the National Academy of Sciences, American Book award winners, and Fulbright, Guggenheim, MacArthur, and Mellon fellows among the ranks of our outstanding faculty.
The University of Massachusetts encourages all faculty to collaborate in University governance. Get more information about faculty governance at each UMass campus:
At the University of Massachusetts, teaching, learning, and research take place in a technologically advanced environment. Using the most up-to-date technologies, faculty and staff develop of innovative academic programs that provide students with a rich learning environment and support cutting edge research.
To promote such development, the President's Office, in association with UMassOnline and the system-wide Subcommittee on Academic Technology, administers the Academic Technology Grant Program and runs a number of related symposia and workshops every year.
